So I was thinking about my little blog and thought, well, I really don't have too much special to say but like the idea of having a playground on the internet for when I want it.
The crap that is different in my life right now is that I'm married...and there is nothing else different lol.
We kinda lived together beforehand, but not really. Now, we do. Except we have 4 dogs who need a back yard, we can't afford a house right now, and paying rent for our own place, all his mom's bills, too (since we support her), plus saving for a house is dumb. Just really dumb. So our answer is to keep living with the 'rents til we can get our own place to live in with our dogs. And someday make babies.
I'm sure you can imagine how much fun it is living in someone else's house, wanting to do your own thing, but knowing all the while that someone else will still trump you because its her house. Yes, we're starting off living with his mom who has no problems letting me know that she needs her room vacuumed to, or the trash needs to go out this second, not later tonight when we're going by the trash dumpster anyways, or other little things. She's really not a monster, but she just has been shut in for so long she doesn't think of things the same way. Nor do I think she understands we're not really living with her. Given we pay almost all the bills and cover just about everything for her except the rent, drive her everywhere since she can't, and go to Jack in the Box every single fucking day just because she refuses to order stuff from the grocery store to eat in house every day, we feel she lives with us, not us with her. She totally doesn't see it that way.
So, there it is. I'm married, now what.
I'm sure she'll be brought up again soon, but in the mean time, the little hope on the horizon is that she turns 55 in May and the lease is up in June. We SHOULD be signing a lease on a 55 and over community in Farmer's Branch on Monday for her and moving her out there. Granted, its not that close to Forney, where we will be living with my parents at that point, but at least she may get to go to the grocery store on her own with them rather than with us...and hopefully there will be no Jack in the Box trips as I'm not driving out there. Gawd...I'm sure somehow she'll increase her doctors' appointments just to get back at us.
Anyways, thats it. The long road to saving money and searching for a home with a good backyard, not a crappy one, has begun. Death to all credit cards.

Ah, the 2nd post
Since this is my first blog, I am trying to make sure I keep blogging often. So, here we go.
Things have mostly gone well until Thursday night. See, Tuesday night the DH and I enjoyed a little dinner at my friend's house. It was even meatloaf. I hate meatloaf. But I liked hers. It was very pleasant and I was very happy leaving that night.
Come Thursday night, I have to get ready for work. I drive out to my parents to meed my doggies to find one dog, my mom's dog, missing. She had taken him to the vet. Well, I'm not going to feed my dogs then let them watch hers eat by himself, so I decide to play with them some until they get home. Course Bella opens the door and lets herself and the Beagle in the house. Sigh, great. I just let them all in to play around in doors til dinner time.
Course when mom gets home, she manages to some how lose her dog at the door and let the Beagle out to explore the neighborhood. I go running after them while she stays in the house. I catch her dog, not too hard given he has his leash on still, but cannot find the Beagle anywhere. I'm actually starting to get scared. They hadn't been out long, where could he have gone? I start screaming his name and here he comes, from the OTHER STREET, running as hard as he can. Lord, how the hell did he get that far? Anyway, we get them to the house, and my mom somehow lets the Beagle loose again, along with two of my more hyper, high energy, have to sniff the world dogs. Geez!!! So, 15 minutes later of running and cornering and grasping and falling on my ass later, I catch all three dogs and go home. I literally want to throw up I'm so exhausted from the ordeal. Lovely.
Friday morning, my oil pressure gauge decides to flip out. F*ck. Last time this happened, I needed a new engine because some did not properly reinstall my oil pump. I didn't get to go to sleep until 9am (I usually go to sleep at 7:30am) and slept very crapily. I'm back at work now. And GAWD has it been busy. This week sucks. I'm looking forward to Sunday. Then I can finally drink this away and celebrate Valentine's Day, even though we JUST got married lol. Feels like stretching some lovey sh*t out a tad, but oh well, its all in good fun, right?

So, I gave in...
I was bored and looking around at things everyone online had and I didn't have a blog. I like to talk...too much. I tell way too many stupid stories about random crap that I've seen, has happened to me, or I've heard of. Its annoying...
Anyhow, I figured starting something new after getting married might be fun. We'll see.
So, to get this bitch started, how about a few not so fun things thats happened in that last 2 weeks since I've officially become a Mrs:
Anyhow, I figured starting something new after getting married might be fun. We'll see.
So, to get this bitch started, how about a few not so fun things thats happened in that last 2 weeks since I've officially become a Mrs:
- I barfed my wedding night. Twice in fact. And had less than 4 hours sleep before I showed up to the airport.
- Our travel the day after our wedding was 2 hours to Miami, 2 hours from Miami to Montego Bay, and 4 hours from Montego Bay to our resort. That last one was supposed to take 2 hours. It took four because it was raining, the driver is paid by the rest stop guy to stop there, some douchebag, who is on his way to an all inclusive resort, decided to buy a pail of Red Stripe beers (the only beer readily available in Jamaica) and required us to stop a short time later so he could piss on the side of the road and buy more beers.
- Our travel back to the States lasted about 12 hours just to come home to find my mom had planned a whole dinner and wedding present opening including my mother-in-law who later told us she didn't want to be there and my mom forced her to come. So much for being nice.
- My first week back at work was HELL!!!! Granted, its an ICU, but the bullshit that came out of the 3 shifts I worked was crazy. One pooped all damned night (she apparently coded later, but on day shift, not mine), one leaked spinal fluid, one's incision felt "crunchy" (aka crepitus, not normally a good sign, well never actually), and one had an insane wife that somehow got ahold of attending physicians at 1am who had the resident calling me asking what the deal was. I'm sorry, your husband is in the ICU. We really do not encourage you two sharing a bed...not in the ICU please. Lord.
- I decided with the dogs I have now...I can't convert one of them into a therapy dog like I wanted. Sigh. Do they HAVE to walk on a LOOSE leash, cause seriously, I don't think they'll ever know how.
The good things:
- We really were blessed by the most wonderful family and friends. Thanks, you all. You really made this event so special.
- We left our World of Warcraft guild that just wasn't suiting us because no one there had a personality. Its really boring being online with a bunch of people who only know how to talk about developing macros. Blah.
- I got my cooking in WoW up to 450, my Tailoring to 415, my fishing to 415, and got the Fish Feast cooking recipe I wanted!
- My photographer, Lynn Michelle, is the most awesome ever! She got me my wedding pictures so fast and I love so much looking at them!
- My videographer just sent me the highlight video and it gives me chills! I'm glad we went ahead and got him!
- My dog ate the rat that has been living in the garage behind the water heater at my parent's house. Good JJ! That damned rat has been evading our attepts to boot him out of where he does not belong.
- I got paid...and they managed to pay me for my honeymoon week even though I couldn't take PTO at the time. (had to be hired there for 6 months)
- and the most important, I'm married! I love you, Brandon!
And something to end this post with:
